Elegant Sparkly Allover Lace Off-the-Shoulder Wedding Dress
One-of-a-kind dress based on Giselle skirt and Soarse bodice.
Custom-made classic bridal gown, all Alencon ivory lace sheath, illusion white to ivory bodice, twilight tulle, no waist seam, fit to flare, off the shoulder. All layers under the train were removed, except for the twilight tulle, to make the gown lighter and to show off the lace. The twilight tulle adds an elegant element of sparkle to the beauty of the lace.
- The tulle is given its shine from glitter than sequins, so the dress is more shimmery than sparkly.
- Color: Although the dress is described by the bridal salon as white/ivory, I see it more as shades of ivory.
While purchased in 2019, the gown was not worn until late summer 2021 due to the pandemic. The gown was worn solely during the 30-minute ceremony and photos. It was not worn outside.
Condition: It looks perfect to me in terms of the lace and the train, but on the sleeve hole lining on the inside of the dress, there is a 1 and 1/4 to 1/2 inch deodorant "stain". Personally, I think it is fainter than the photo depicts because I had the camera right upon it.
Alterations: Purchased a size 14, and altered to size 10-12 with boning added. The dress can be altered smaller but would be very difficult to alter larger.
Custom Changes
- No waist seam
- Neckline change to Soarse
- Add layer of Twilight tulle
- Lower back to wide V - no illusion
I chose this dress because it was the perfect combination of comfort and elegance, modern and timeless. Wearing it, I felt sexy but also chic.
