Beautiful French Lace Strapless Sweetheart Fit and Flare Wedding Dress
As soon as I tried the "Amour" dress on at Bergdorf Goodman, I felt like I was glowing from the inside. Light, airy, and soft, but also structured and flattering, it exuded a timeless elegance. I was happy to learn on my wedding day that it was also incredibly fun and easy to dance in.
Constructed from handmade ivory French lace depicting wildflowers, in a soft mermaid/fit and flare silhouette, layered with antique-colored pink cameo (blush), this gown speaks to the deco period with its own modern twists. It has a whimsical train with a seamless bustle.
I wore it once at my wedding in June of 2016, and we had it professionally cleaned immediately afterward using careful archival techniques. It has been stored in beautiful condition.
Alterations: Hemmed for height and small bust, with cups sewn in and a bustle added. I lost a little weight from the time I bought the dress to the 2nd dress fitting. I was between a US size 6 and 8 when I bought the dress, and by the wedding, I was just under a size 6. Overall, without much alteration, the dress should be a good fit for someone between that range of sizes and 5' - 5'2".
